Don Mischer

Don Mischer is an internationally acclaimed producer and director of television and live events. He has been honored with fifteen Emmy Awards, a record 10 Directors Guild of America Awards for Outstanding Directorial Achievement, two NAACP Image Awards, a Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting, Europe's prestigious Gold Rose of Montreux and the 2012 Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television from the Producers Guild of America.

As President of Don Mischer Productions, his credits range from We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial, The Kennedy Center Honors, and the 100° Anniversary of Carnegie Hall; to Super Bowl Halftime shows (Prince, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen), the Democratic National Convention, Events Celebrating Hong Kong's re-unification with China, and the Opening Ceremonies of both the Winter and Summer Olympic Games.

His recent works include producing and/or directing the 83rd, 84th, and 85th Academy Awards, and the Oscar Red Carpet shows, which were produced by DMP's Charlie Haykel and Juliane Hare.

Don has also produced specials with Beyonce, Bono, Prince, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, Taylor Swift, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Adele, Mary J. Blige, Elton John, Justin Timberlake, Barbra Streisand, Justin Bieber, Jon Bon Jovi, and Carrie Underwood, among others.

He has received the Governors Award from the National Association of Choreographers, and is a member of the Event Industry Hall of Fame, the Producers Guild of America, the Directors Guild of America, where he was recently elected to the Board; and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, where he has served two terms on the Board of Governors.Don holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Texas in Austin.

Charlie Haykel

Charlie Haykel is an executive producer, and partner in Don Mischer Productions, a global leader in live television and event production. In addition to producing with his partners, he’s responsible for day-to-day operations of the company, and creative and business development.

24 years ago Haykel left behind the glitz and glamour of Buffalo, New York – as well as his beloved football and hockey teams -- in order to come to Los Angeles and become a producer. He started his career in physical production learning on shows as varied as, The Kennedy Center Honors, and The Emmy Awards, to the series Super Dave’s Vegas Spectacular and The George & Alana show.

In 2000 it was Don Mischer who gave Haykel his first opportunity to move into creative producing, and he and his career have grown since. Over the last 15 years he’s collaborated in the producing of shows from, We Are One, the official kickoff to the Obama Inaugural, held at the Lincoln Memorial, to five Emmy Awards, including the 2015 show starring Andy Samberg, and the 2011- 2013 Billboard Music Awards, which he helped re-launch.

In addition Haykel served as executive producer of the 2011-2013 Oscars Red Carpet: Live, the official Academy Awards pre-show, where he and his partner successfully expanded it from a 30-minute to 90-minute format, and 2014’s The American Comedy Awards. He was also producer on the Super Bowl XXXIX and XL Halftime Shows (Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones) as well as the 2004 Democratic Convention.

Some of his other producing credits include the NBC series, The Singing Bee, and John Leguizamo’s, Sexaholix for HBO. Haykel was also on the producing teams for the millennium documentary by Steven Spielberg, The Unfinished Journey and the independent feature Bad City Blues.

In addition to growing the core business of Don Mischer Productions, Haykel is leveraging the company’s brand and global reputation to expand into series, experiential marketing, and emerging forms of entertainment utilizing new technologies.

While an aversion to calculus lead him into entertainment Haykel is a fan of science and technology, loves photography and shares a passion for sports cars with his son, and hockey with his daughter. He resides outside of Los Angeles with his wife, 2 children and a pair of black labs.

Juliane Hare

Since joining Don Mischer Productions, Juliane has worked on some of the world's largest events, including the Salt Lake City Olympic Ceremonies, the Opening Ceremonies of the Special Olympics in Shanghai, and the Super Bowl XXXIX, XL, and XLI Pre-Game and Halftime Shows.

She produced the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Billboard Music Awards, the 2011 and 2012 Comedy Awards, the 62nd and 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, James Taylor: One Man Band, Fashion Rocks, Movies Rock, and the 2007 Miss America Pageant. In 2011, 2012 and 2013, she Executive Produced the official Academy Awards pre-show, "Oscars Red Carpet Live." In 2009, she was honored to receive a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's Series as a producer of the PBS series "From the Top at Carnegie Hall."
