Produced with George Stevens Jr., Don has either co-produced or directed the Kennedy Center Honors 22 times since they first aired in 1978. This prestigious annual event in Washington has redefined America's perception of its artistic legacy and reinvented the way this nation rewards its artists. Broadcast on CBS, the Honors have received seven Emmy Awards and have been attended by every President since its creation. Honorees have included Jack Nicholson, Sir Elton John, Barbra Streisand, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan.
